Our beloved mascot, Roofus the Duck, is the perfect embodiment of these values, and his journey from a simple office prank to a well-known symbol of our company is one of those stories we love to tell.
It all started with a small plastic duck…
Roofus was originally just a toy that had a knack for disappearing and then showing up in some unexpected places. You’d open a drawer, reach into a toolbox, or even flip down the visor in your truck, and there he was—Roofus, waiting to surprise you. It became a running joke among the team, a way to bond and bring a little laughter to the workday.
As we began to grow, we knew it was time to refine our branding. We wanted something that reflected both our dedication to excellent roofing services and our company’s fun, family-oriented atmosphere. That’s when we had an idea: why not make Roofus our mascot? He already brought us together as a team; now, he could represent us to the world.
But this was no ordinary duck…
To fit the spirit of Sure Roofing and Exteriors, we gave Roofus a makeover. We imagined him as a tough, hardworking duck—a symbol of protection. Today, Roofus is known for his signature hard-hat and the shield he carries, reminding customers that their roof is their first line of defense against the elements. Just like a duck’s feathers are waterproof, we ensure every roof we install is sealed tight to protect your home, rain or shine.
A South Jersey Friend
Now, Roofus the Duck is recognized all over South Jersey. He’s become a local friend for all our customers, symbolizing quality work and reliability. At Sure Roofing and Exteriors, we take pride in every roof we work on, and we believe it should be as secure as water off a duck’s back.
